I consider myself a beginner at family history only having been 'at it' for about 9 months now. However, I find in that time that I've developed a kind of shorthand to make note taking etc easy and quicker. |

Thank you Joy, I guess I'm too busy jogging along with my research I'm not checking out things that could be of use. It's so easy to get carried alon with this fascinating field. I'll cerainly make it my business to have a look. |

I just took note of terms used by more experienced researchers when they posted replies to look ups. Got to know things like mmn meant mothers maiden name etc. |
