Not finding people on census records

I have been given names by other people who have found them on other sites but I can't find them on Genes.Possibly my relations.They are Eliza Blank living with Father William East Retford Notts, Eliza Bland Christened |

Not just Genes!! they're not showing on Ancestry either. Some records didnt survive so maybe they are some that didnt ! |

There are as lot of mis-transcriptions in the records, and sometimes even if you get back to the original it is difficult to read or ambiguous, and sometimes you can understand why the transcriber just plumped for the likely one if it happens to be instead of an unusual one - and you have to allow for the original census taker mishearing! |
