Your story brought back a 'blackberrying' memory too. As children we decided to go blackberrying near a creek. Mum gave us containers and told us not to eat too many and that she would bake pies with the berries we brought home. We came home with our containers full - and our tummies full. We stood there with juice all around our mouths and swearing that we hadn't eaten any :-) Mum baked a pie for our tea and one for the mother of the children who had gone with us but we were so sick that night that we couldn't eat it and couldn't face it the next day. Mum and Dad enjoyed it though :S |
