Cheryl Cole dropped from American 'X Factor'

Normally I don't watch X Factor but I thought it was a bit off to sack Cheryl because "sources claimed producers were concerned the singer's Newcastle accent was too strong for US audiences." After all, we've got David Hasselhoff on Britains Got Talent.

With all the flannel about UK-US relations over the past couple of days, this decision just seems a bit insulting. :-(

I wonder if its just for max publicity Matthew.

It would be nice to have new blood on the the X Factor,
There was talk that Gary Barlow was going to be a judge/mentor.
He would be so much better.

there are several rumours going around,

1. accent, 2, supposedly they did not like the chemistry and felt Cheryl was the weak link on the panel, and the 3rd rumour is that she quit due to being homesick

I have read that it was a decision made by the network rather than the show but who really knows until the official statement
