Think you should make your query more clear, Ed. I don't think anyone can understand it. Is there a cat involved?

Edwin, I believe when you make an error in the tree you have to delete back to the person you need to replace and then re-enter the information.

The FAQ section is still there under 'Help'. Just hover your mouse over the word and it will appear in a drop down box.

Glad you feel well enough to return to the site. It is taking most people a while to get used to the recent layout and features, so don't despair!

click on 'Help', then 'FAQ' , you will see "complete FAQ listing" on left hand side of screen, in that click on 'Family tree' and you get the drop down menu for that section, top of that is 'building your family tree'

This is the relevant section

"If you have made a mistake you simply need to click on 'delete' which you'll see just above the relation's details. You can only delete a name from your tree if it is at the top or the bottom or has no other branches attached to it. For example, you can remove or delete the child of a relation. However, if you have added the wrong father, you would need to remove any children first before deleting him. You will see a message saying you cannot delete a relation if other names are attached to that person. You will need to look at your tree and either remove names from the bottom upwards or from the top down depending on where the relation is that you wish to remove."

Hope you are feeling better now Edwin :-)
