About 1960, a teenage boy thought that a girl in his class was 'gorgeous' and sent her a Valentine card. She didn't 'respond' and he thought he might have better luck in the 6th form when he was a bit more mature! Unfortunately she went to college instead and they lost touch. After a few school reunions, and some unhappy marriages, they finally got it together. The girl is my sister in law, and she and her beau were married on Saturday at a lovely ceremony.

And we learned on the same day that my OH's son and his partner are expecting twins!

:D

Oh what a lovely story. I believe there is something really special about a relationship between two people who have the same "Roots" and get together again after years apart. I wish them well.
Congratulations on the news of twins..........how very exciting! PH

How lovely, you know it often happens that school sweethearts or similar meet up later in life and get together. I wish your s.i.l. and her new hubby all the happiness in the world.

Best wishes to the young couple expecting twins, too. Everyone must have been really happy to hear the good news.

My son's cousin called yesterday and left a message to say her baby girl (her second little girl) was born last Thursday weighing in at 7lb + She was due on 8th June, her Mummy's birthday but I am pleased she came early as the first baby girl might have been jealous that the Mum and child shared a birthday had she arrived on time.

That means my son's Uncle has three daughters and between them they have four little girls and one little boy. Sadly the couple with the boy live miles away so they don't see him often but he is no less loved.

Such great news, can't wait for my son to start producing children (when he finds the right girl)

That's lovely Sheila :) I always think there's something more
romantic about the ones that take longer to get together
