Mauonthecoast, did someone appoint you to give out instructions that are contrary to the very clear rules of this site?

Michael, you do need to read the rules, but you aren't the first or last user who will not follow them.

The problem here is really officious other members giving out instructions that you break the rules.

Find Ancestors is for finding ancestors (or unknown descendants of the same ancestors, logically).

Genealogy Chat is for talking about *genealogy*, not about one's own family history.

General Chat is for talking about *everything else*.

If you click on Community you will see the brief descriptions of the boards.

What we can really do without is long-time members telling people they should do things that break the rules and inconvenience other members by wasting their time, and then insulting members who suggest that this is not the thing to do. Really.

The thread on Ancestors where this should continue:

I would think it highly likely that Eileen is still alive as she'd only be in her 60s. Have you looked for a marriage for Eileen Michael in about 1965+/- a few years? It might be easier to trace her than her Mother as you don't know for sure what Kathleen's maiden name is. You could look on Free BMD on line.

Nor was i trying to make him feel uncomfortable ...sorry if I have Michael

If you post on living relatives all replies are private

This is the thread you should delete really

Only other information that may be true about Kathleen is:

There was a rumour at one stage that Kathleen was in the forces may be the WRAC and that she married a servicemen by the name of bowyer but we really don't know if that is right or not. It could just be her real maiden name.

Cheers

Thanks all,

Still not sure which I deleted from where. Jax not sure if you mean to delete from living relatives or not as you say you would not recommend on your last one but before that told me to post there.

Thanks you all so very much for your patience, it is much appreciated.

My we are picky on here

glad I normally stay well clear

Sorry it was the 3rd post I saw as I do not normally look on here on a regular basis

Michael is looking for them and there is no record of Kathleen's death that I can see unless she has died in a different surname

1945 is not old...older than me but not as old as some on here so why should she not be alive.

I would not recommend living relatives myself because I do not like the way it works...but really that is where it should have been posted

This really belongs on "Finding Ancestors" so best delete this one and the one on Geneology chat. PH

Oh, I am very sorry, finding it confusing. I did not realise that I needed to delete that one. I read the information to mean that I should not put up the same post on the same one forum.

Should I go and delete the others now and if so which one should I leave it on please.

Thanks for the advice.

Hi All,

I am desperate for help in finding Kathleen Dorothy Bowyer who I believe would have been born around 1925. She also had a daughter called Eileen who would have been born around 1945. They lived in Rowberry House, Donhead St Andrew in Shaftesbury Dorset in 1954 as Kathleen was a cook there.

i have tried all sorts of searches but do not seem to find anything. All help and tips gratefully received. :-D

Cheers
