I recorded it as o.h. watching bgt etc but couldn't bring myself to watch it last night, after he was in bed. I will watch it tho but wasn't up to the emotions it would bring, I do feel for all those in care or hospital who aren't treated well and with a caring manner. It scares me that I might end up one day being badly treated in a hospital or care home and hope my son or someone would look out for me if I was to be in a place like that.

I would be very wary if I had a loved one in somewhere and I couldn't be sure they were being treated well. It's what everyone deserves to have, loving kindness at all times, however tired or underpaid the carer.

Absolutelly awful. The abuse was systematic abuse carried out by uncaring sadists. Better pay might bring in better quality carers but there are many other kind carers on just above minimum wage and in this case there was a Nurse Manager who just looked on.

The Care Quality Commission was ineffective.. If your judgement is so poor that you missed abuse after x 3 complaints then the systems they have in place are not working. Its not enough just to turn up and interview staff and patients.

Why do we pay these companies thousands a week when in some cases that money could be put into the home/s of their family to enable them to continue to care for their relatives.

Unfortunately I didn't - and should have!!
I work with wonderful people who go in and make sure homes are homes - and provide proper care, comfort - and stimulation.
If needs be the staff are taught how to do this!

This really upset me .

Bullies and thugs .Hope they get what they deserve .

CCTV should be installed into the day rooms and public places and viewed regularly by independant sources .

Find it hard to believe that the CE of the company was surprised that there was a problem after the huge restraining going on that was reported .

Hi Jude its disgusting. I used to work in a care home and loved the people there. They need caring people to take care of them, and they deserve to have a good life with interesting things to do not just sit about being abused. I cant stop thinking about it.
Hope you sleep well.

Aw Sylvia is'nt it frightening. l used to work in a residential home and l've also been a classroom assistant for adults with learning and physical disabilities. l loved them all. NO ONE deserves to be treated the way those staff treated those poor people.
l hope the staff get a long sentence!!

l'm off to bed now but will look in again in the morning, if l can't sleep l'll be here in the night!!

I watched it and I am so angry that people think they can treat other people in that way. I have a daughter with learning difficulties and physical disabilitys It is frightening to even think about her living somewhere like that . Hopefully she will always be cared for in our own home. She is 23 and lovely.
