Right here on the Chat board, two at once -- one for Corrie and one for EEnders. How can you??

I have not looked, I shall not look.

On Corrie, the oily ... oh, as you know, I can't remember their names ... the gigolo who attached himself to Audrey ... was caught two days ago on cctv doing his thing with the betting slip -- and with Deirdre. So then we forgot to set the vcr for yesterday's! (the Stanley Cup playoffs have wreaked havoc with the schedule and we both keep forgetting to set the machine on time) but we can catch it in rerun on Sunday.

On EEnders, I dunno, I'm about 3 weeks behind in my viewing as it's shown here, and may not catch up. But it's around about when a bad blonde person (the sister of the ugly baldy man and the ex-cop) gets a chihuaha and her claws into Phil Mitchell, and Tania is in jail, right after baldy-man got run down, I presume by his daughter.

So -- no spoilers, wah wah wah wah. I will not look, I will not look.

So, I need more recommendations for summertime viewing.

From the last batch of recommendations:

We downloaded Any Human Heart and have finished that, and it really was extremely good.

We watched the one about the house, the time-shifting one, with the family in the 30s and in the present day. Also very good.

We have watched all of Monroe, not very impressive really. I will watch anything James Naismith does, although he's getting a bit motheaten, but a little Sarah Parish goes a long way. ... Not James Naismith, he invented basketball. Nesbitt.

We have tried four times to watch the first episode of Exile and fallen asleep all four times after no more than 10 minutes. We may keep trying ...

Mick in the sticks -- No.1 nabbed all of Rake and I think we have one or two left to watch. It's very good, but it's one of those ones that I find hard to take more than an episode of at once, just a bit intense, but very funny. Recommended to anyone who can get stuff off the net. And who can understand Australian, or has closed captioning. ;-) And of course has a high tolerance for, er, language.

We get Casualty every week, now that No.1 has found where to get it, after BBC Canada took it away from us.

We used to get Waterloo Road on BBC Canada, but it too has been replaced by multiple showings of boring people having their lives or businesses or homes renovated. So we've obviously missed a couple of seasons, but we picked it up this week via download with the last episode from last season and first from this season. I'm not mistaken that the new maintenance guy is the old head teacher, am I? And both the blondes are gone ...

We're also giving Holby a shot ... but I fell asleep a little while into that last night too. It's quite popular, I think?

So -- what do I need to watch, part 2: what do I need to watch? ;-)

Hm. Well, that I could get on the teevee on the US network and the Cdn network that carries it ... and in endless rerun on at least one "specialty" channel ... yes, very helpful, RR, a B-list US drama. ;-)

Even when it had Mandy Patinkin in it, it wasn't worth watching!

Have you ever heard Mandy Patinkin perform, musically that is?

Hang on, I'll see whether I can find Coffee in a Cardboard Cup.

Although I do like the Bing Crosby version -- 1930s Bing Crosby -- I have on a tape someplace.

Yes I have Janey, heard Mandy sing that is , bit of a change from the first time I saw him in 'The Princess Bride' ( a film which has a particular sentimental value to me as it was the last film I went to see ex fiance with ) . I will have a listen in the morning, D has nicked my headphones :-( ....again lol.

And here I finally got No.1 to plug my speakers in after my office got moved.

I could probably do these things myself. But why bother? I'm sure he could count his carbs, too.

Fine, I'm off for a shower and food, both of which are rather sorely needed.

I want recommendations for my viewing pleasure when I wander back here sometime Saturday p.m.!

(Saturday a.m. will be spent lying on the chesterfield idly catching up on some EEnders ...)
