When you have to ask the question.......When did Firemen suddenly get so bleedy young FGS ???? !!!!

A wander round the local firestation with the girls has left me feeling ancient ! Some of them didn't look old enough to shave !!! *sobs*

I'm lucky here - the firemen are mostly around my age, give or take a few years - you must be some years older than me, Muffy :-D

it was the same day that items you bought when you were 30 and still have in your wardrobe or jewellery box became 'vintage' when listed on ebay...........

Muffyxx Report 4 Jun 2011 17:08

They were more like fireboys Joy lol x

Yes Rose...I suspect I have suitcases full of *vintage* clothes that will never fit me again up in the loft. Should really flog em whilst there's a bit of an 80s revival..but every now and again I like to remember myself wearing them ...looking THIN and young *sighs*

There are things you don't want the little lad down the doctor's surgery to see as well aren't there?

ChrisofWessex

ChrisofWessex Report 4 Jun 2011 22:33

It was the doctors in hospital who shocked me - I swore they had not even done their A levels and they wanted to examine MOI !!!!!!!!

Sharron Report 5 Jun 2011 09:33

I find it quite worrying that you are refering to 80's clothes as vintage. I am still feeling quite up to date wearing mine.

I have a fireman who does odd jobs for me on his days off. He sanded the wood floor in my kitchen a couple of days ago. He's in his late 40's but is strong and fit as a flea - he even threw me over his shoulder as he did it.

The last bit's a fib - I just imagined it ;-)

Re hospital doctors - I can well remember the schoolboy who 'stitched me up' after I had my third child, but I was past caring by then :-S

I had to go to hospital in an ambulance a couple of weeks ago, my first time, but I am thinking I might repeat it.... they were such nice young men. ;-)
