We are supposed to be going to our local one.

Picnic packed and the rain is coming down.Looks like it is not oing to happen here.What a shame.

Such a shame Sharron. From the response (or lack off) it would seem that the idea hasn't been taken up by many, on here at least.

PS please can we have some of your rain? The garden in crying out for it!

We had our picnic in the kitchen with two of our mates and the lady from four doors up who went to school with my dad.

The idea was to bring the community together and I suppose we did it in a small way.

Very foggy here this morning, I hope it clears up as I need to go for a walk to lose more weight.

Not heard of it here, but we do tend to do that anyways.......3 of our neighbours are hard up, all single. One of them (female) and myself often cook for them all, or l take food that we have over to the lads.
We had 5 to a roast rolled belly of pork yesterday, scrummy and we enjoy their company:o)
