Can anyone tell me how to get a split screen? Have to answer a list of questions and need to be able to see them at the same time as answering them Only thing I could think of is to print screen and use that.
Will be on here again this evening.

First of all, you will need 2 windows (not tabs) open.

In the top right corner of your screen is a minus, square, diagonal cross.

Assuming you have the current page (GR) filling the screen......
Click on the square.
Move your cursor to the border at the top of the page, click, hold and drag.
This will move the page down a bit - you might see your start up screen behind it.
Move the cursor to the very top of this page - it will change from a pointing arrow, to a 2-headed arrow.
Hold it there, then click and drag. That will start to re-size the page.
Let go, and 'drag' the page up again as you did before by clicking and dragging the border.
You should now see the bottom on the page, and can re-size by either shortening from the top. or now that you can see it, from the bottom.


Open up or retrieve the other window, and do the same. Drag the pages around to your satisfaction.

To get back to where you started, click the square symbol, top right.

If you wanted the different pages side-by-side, instead of one below each other, then you can 'pull in' the sides the same way you can the top and the bottom.

When you have your 2 windows open, right click on an empty part of the taskbar [normally right at the bottom of the screen] a menu pops up, then you can click on either:
Show windows stacked - this puts one window on top of the other
Show windows side by side - does what it says

The other option 'cascade windows' is the least useful for your needs I think.

Best to play around and find what suits you and your needs, the wording may be slightly different as I am looking on vista/Win7.

Ok, I have managed by doing a printscreen. I was too dim to work out the other way. Glad it has helped others though.
