I'm just thinking I am really glad I brought the washing in an hour ago because the sky looked dark. We have just had a tremendously heavy shower. At least the garden doesn't need watering now!

Always something good - now you don't need to water the garden.
My washing didn't get dry to-day as the weather changed, very cloudy and no sun to talk of.

Just been and salvaged mine here in Kent. the sheets and pillow cases are allmost dry so finishing em off over the rail on the top landing ,they hang down the well to the hall. Pants and vest etc not dry enough to put away so having a small blitz in the tumbler.
Fancy having to tumble in June !! :-S

We are sure this rain was foecast for tomorrow not today, today was supposed to be sunny. It was lovely first thing, we were round our local garden centre having coffee and the sun was really warm. still the washing had almost dried, it was mainly towels that we wanted to wash and dry before going away, they'll dry in the conservatory. And three hours later it is still raining!!

We don't have a tumble drier so flashed the heating on to dry on the rads as we are away from tomorrow.

Turned our central heating off last week, Its warm air heating so no rads. VERY effective though for drying when it is on as the heat rises up the stairs from the vent in the hall so anything hanging over the top rail gets well dried. Always dry jumpers over the rail so as to keep their shape.
Do get a fed up in the winter though with hanging washing :-(

Hello Star, nice to see you, yes definitely more like April than June and when you all had glorious weather in April we were in Tenerife.

Just travelled back from north Hampshire and came through areas of heavy rain although much of the journey was in evening sunshine on dry roads.
We managed a couple of hours in Southsea, - breezy but dry, so the weather didn't bother us too much.

The gardens will indeed benefit from the welcome showers.

Aill my washing goes in the tumble dryer. No, I am not rich or particularly extravagant and yes,I do have ridiculous electricity bills.

My old dad does all the washing. It is one of the things he can still do and it gives him a bit of a feeling of contributing.

I did make him try the washing line once, well I need a bit of pleasure in life, but it was too much to hold his one remaining useful arm above his head for any length of time.

He will be pleased about the rain anyway. He gets out in the garden slave-driving still.

glad it was a lovely afternoon yesterday for the kite festival (several more freckles today lol). Glad that we chose to go yesterday rather than today.
