Can anyone tell me where Black Pitts & Black Rock are in Ireland?
I have a John Joseph Lewis born Black Pitts c.1892 and had a search for his birth certificate done from 1887 to 1897 but have had no joy!
His brother Christopher Nicholas Lewis states he born Black Rock Co Wexford on his army papers but his entry on 1911 census states Co Wicklow and he was born c.1896 and i have had no luck with his birth search either!

Hi Shazzlou,
i don,t know where Black Pitts is but there Blackrock is on the border of Wicklow County and Dublin City.
If you search in Recordsearch/searchrecords put in Rathdown and you may be lucky.
Regards,
Betty.

Hi Shazzlou,
I have found births not registered even up to the 1940s.
I did find two Births, but both in Dublin and slightly out in years. One north Dublin, which does include the "Rotunda Hospital a maternity Hospital.
Here goes.
Birth John Joseph Lewis Dublin North Jan-Mar 1899 Volumn 2 Page 491

Birth Christopher Lewis Dublin South July-Sept 1892 Volumn 2 Page 549.
Death Christopher Lewis Dublin North Oct-Dec. 1954 Volumn 2 Page 219
age c62 years.
Do you know where their Mother and Father Married???
So if Christopher returned to Ireland that may be his Death.
I cannot see a Christopher Nicholas Lewis.
Regards,
Betty.

Hi Betty,
I finally found a Nicholas Christopher Lewis born Blackrock Co Dublin parents John Joseph Lewis & Ellen Byrne. Living 7 Kennys Cottage Sweetmans Ave sponsers were Edward & Mary Malone.
Im suprised he baptised Nicholas Christopher as all info i have found on him he was listed as Christopher Lewis. Apart from 1901 census aged 5 when he was listed a Niklos Lewis.
Thanks for your help & replies!
