Hi SRS, for me it would be opting out of the norm' wanting to live off the land, mayby in a small community of its own not as easy as it sounds im sure but i would nbe looking into it and having a test drive in a yurt before taking such a drastic change to my life.
:-)

Puss, remember the solitude way is all very well while there are two of you. Would you find it ok if you were on your own?

Ladylol, never fancied alternative living, but if I knew then, what I know now would never have stayed in this country.

I did make a bold decision 10 years ago to retire early because I was working to live and living to work but unfortuntely the alternative did not work for me because of legal problems. However I never regretted getting off the merry go round.

I think for me a community would be nice and I gather there are some that can offer companionship and/or solitude which ever you wish. I think you can buy into property or rent as you wish.

Good luck in moving on to the next stage.

Regards

Vera

ps fancy a houseboat myself but would never get on or off it and I don't like those furry things.

thought of alternative living, leaving the rat race, like lioving in a small man made communuity or in total solitude, now my youngest is of age we are looking into it. xx :-S
