i have only just started doing my family tree ,and on my great,great granfather it said brit sub parent, could any one please tell me what that means

Hi can you enter a board name for yourself please and then we'll have a name to call you lol, you go to 'my account' to do that.

'Brit subject parent',it's likely that your gg grandfather was not born in the UK, but is a British subject because one or both of his parents were.

ok thanks for your reply just for the record his father was born in donegal ireland, and motheraberdeen scotland

Google it .......may help and it may be something to do with his parents being in another country when he was born !!
