Gosh that was happening to me too yesterday. I had put a thread down as watching it , and every time someone new posted to it, I would get about a 100 emails from them. I had to stop watching the post, so that the emails would stop!

Hi,

This should no longer be happening. The email that is meant to send once per hour had been rebooted and was sending too often. I am so sorry for the inconvenience this must have caused.

They are still coming to me thick and fast too......the more I delete, the more appear.

Sigh!......I do believe I have lost at least an hour out of my life in the past two days deleting :-\

When you click "watch this" the thread will appear in "my watched threads" which is fine but by default it will also generate messages when the thread is added to.
To stop the messages remove the tick and click "update"

That is not the problem SatNav

GR have a glitch and we are getting multiple emails whether we watch or not. I now have no watched threads but am getting umpteen emails by the minute......and cannot delete fast enough.
