In My area the council will come around and cut old peoples and disabled peoples lawns who live on their own, once a month for free. I think all councils should do this. :-) |

In our area there are schemes whereby people take over a garden in situations such as yours. Have you tried your local Rotary or Lions Clubs? It is the sort of thing they get invovled in - or Community Service? |

See if there is 'volunteer bureau' locally - one I contacted 2 years ago, asked for £5 to cut a lawn, but would wave the fee if the elderly/disabled person couldn't afford it, or could only pay less. |

Hazel, it might be worth trying Age concern or british red cross locally, they have volunteers who 'befriend' I know, They may have some who would do the garden on a regular basis for you. |
