Okay in case anyone is interested they were forced back to work today and delivery starts again tomorrow (Tuesday). God knows how long it will take to clear the backlog though.....

Haven't checked this evenings news yet so not sure if they've been forced back to work next week or not....BUT if you're in Canada it should be noted you must still pay your bills as they become due or you will be charged late fees/interest.....I phoned to get all my due amounts today !

I guess they just can't store it at the airport either there in the UK or here in Canada. They will get sent back to work soon so shouldn't last too long. I do agree with some of their problems but I honestly don't know how much if any they'll win. Mean while at least I don't get any junk mail....until the strike is over then I'll be swamped !!

I was just so surprised at being told they could not accept post to Canada, but they said the backlog was so huge. They have no idea when they can resume accepting mail again:-(

It only went mega strike this week when they were locked out by management before that it was a different area each day so no one noticed !!
Now I have to work out what bills are due and how much before I get cut off or something if it drags on for too long :-)

I think the Canadian Postal strike has been on since the end of May.


A frind that lives near Toronto was asking a friend that was coming to England to post her a letter when she landed in England and out of the airport.

I must have missed any reference to the postal strike in Canada, so you could have knocked me down with a feather :-0 when I went to the post office in Great Yarmouth today to post photos of my new granddaughter :-D to a relative - only to be told they were not accepting mail for Canada!!

Anyone else come across this?
