HELP! surnames to enter, married or maiden?

Yes deffinately the maiden name. If i don't know the maiden name i enter xxx

Maiden name only you should never use the married name it would get very confusing, even if you don't know the maiden name don't use married name.
well thats what i think.

I agree with TheresaW, you would usually use Maiden names.

I put the maiden names in, as that is the given name when they were born (therefore on birth and marriage records) Through the marriage, it will be seen as having taken the husband's name, and that is the name which will be on the death certificate.

Researching:
Lovell, Morse, Baker, Duval, Mortlock, Gibbs and Bristow.

Hi,... Im getting a little confused... are people putting the married names of their relations or maiden names?

I ask this as ive put married names in, i.e my mum was June Harris and she married my dad who was Sales.. Ive put my mum in as June Sales but ticked the married box... am i doing this right?, is there a right or wrong way as im sure people are doing it both ways...Surely if it explained a way to do it. i.e you put the married name in for female members of family as there is a tic box when inputting details to tick whether single, married or even divorced..Maybe then we wouldnt have so much truoble tracing ancestors if there was a certain way it was done.. Any one else having this problem as im sure its making it harder to find family if this is the case... Please comment how you input details, or is there a right or wrong way and im missing the point in how to do it... Please help as its driving me mad lol...
