Hove is West Sussex or were you born in that other place over the border?

Isn't Brighton one side of the border and Hove on the right side? I have always thought of Hove as one of our own.

Please, please don't tell me it is alien territory. No,no,I just couldn't bear it!

The border is somewhere around Portslade isn't it?

Oh FGS Sharron,get a life!

I live in Hove - 'Actually', as they say! The Peace Statue on Kingsway on the seafront marks the Brighton/Hove boundary.

I also went to school in Rustington in the 60's and have very happy memories. School reunion in a couple of weeks - oo-er, better get my roots done!!

From Wikopedia. ...( no idea how correct this is )

Portslade-by-Sea added to Hove in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972 : both Brighton and Hove became non-metropolitan districts of East Sussex

So one of those places that has 'moved' over the years, perhaps.

That is me being up to date again. I think that was when a friend of mine came to live in the village. She had been living in the same house for twenty years but it only became part of our village then,

The village she used to live in is a good three or four miles away by road if you want to see anything other than fields.
