Well Iadylol thought I had won with my Hostas, but with all this rain they are back. Remember several years ago we had new neighbours. One morning they asked what we were doing in the garden late at night. We were on our hands with a torch collecting snails, hundreds of the b--gers, you could actually hear them chomping!

The skin of Cucumbers on a foil tray keeps them away from the plants..

It's not quite light yet and the blackbird is out pulling worms from the lawn, wish he would eat the slugs and snails. We don't use pellets cos of the hedgehogs but my hedgehog has fallen out with me since I went away for a week and hasn't been back to see me! I did leave the rest of the peanuts and a loaf of bread, unsliced, out in the garden but I bet the birds beat the hedgehog to it all

Ladylol,go for broke Lass ,buy a couple of pet Ducks ,they will keep the grass and weeds down ,and there is nothing they like better than a few juicy slugs or snails.
