We had a small TV in 1953. My Dad used to love all the westerns thatw ere on. I remember the Lone Ranger and Tonto. Bet we'd find the pictures awful now, small and black and white and often with 'snow' on them. and breaks every so often. remember the potters wheel and the sea gently breaking on the shore? |

I remember them all. There were so many cowboys on tv then and I loved watching the horses.......even if they did speed them up a bit! |

I was brought up by my grandparents and I can remember my grandfather used to watch 'Tonight' every evening with Cliff Michelmore on our small 12 inch black and white TV. |

I was a PC on the beat circa 1955. A pub had a giant screen which you could view from outside. |
