I have heard that they attach themselves to one person.
I read best way round this is to get the other family members to help feed parrott so it gets used to all family.

Don't know much about African Greys except they all seem to hate me...but the only way round the allergy problem is to not have the cause of the allergy around, so you have a choice between a parrot or your mum :-D

Hi i am thinking at some point of buying a African Grey Parrot. (when i get my extension done) also my mother lives with us and she was allergic to a cockateil we had so may have to wait!
Question is which is the best breed Timnah or Congo as heard some people think the Timneh african grey is inferior to the congo.
I did hear Timnehs are more laid back and less prone to feather plucking! Any parrot experts out there??
Also is there any way round the allergy problem??
