Had heard about them, but nothing can prepare you for the sight & noise of hundreds of parakeets flying over your head as you sit drinking coffee in her back garden.

They sure are noisy aren't they?
We have a few here just hope they don't breed. There is a colony about half a mile from here.

Are they the ringnecks?

When I lived in W London they used to fly over ours too....many used to land on my Dad's Aviaries and have a sneaky feed (he used to leave dishes on the aviary roof for them)

Last estimate of numbers of this colony was 4,500.

How they all get into that line of trees I really do not know.
