My grandchildren have an excess of grandparents!!!
My SIL's parents have split up - and have new partners - that's 4 'grandparents' from one side.
I'm happily on my own, but my ex has a lovely partner, so they have 2 granny's and one 'pop' from the other side.
An extra bonus for my 9 year old grand daughter (with 2 small brothers), is that my ex's partner has a gorgeous 12 year old daughter - and they get on really well.
My ex and his partner (plus daughter) are taking my grand daughter camping in the south of France this year - she's very excited :-)

Hi Teresa,

I have three grandchildren youngest is 14 and she likes being
the youngest as Nana and Papa still give her cuddles, saying
that the other 2 also like hugs. Sadly I am the only grandmother they
have left.lol

What is a grandparent?

Grandparents are a lady and a man who have no little children of their own
A grandfather is a man, and a grandmother is a lady.
Grandparents don't have to do anything except be there when we come to see them.. They are so old they shouldn't play hard or run. It is good if they drive us to the shops and give us money. When they take us for walks, they slow down past things like pretty leaves and caterpillars. They show us and talk to us about colours of the flowers and also why we shouldn't step on 'cracks' They don't say 'Hurry up.' Usually grandmothers are fat but not too fat to tie your shoes. They wear glasses and funny underwear. They can take their teeth and gums out. Grandparents don't have to be smart. They answer questions like 'Why isn't God married?' and 'How come dogs chase cats?' They know we should have a snack before bed time, and they say prayers with us and kiss us even when we've been bad.
It's funny when they bend over; you hear gas leaks, and they blame their dog.
Taken from a class of eight year olds.
