Hi,

I have taken both Alli and Orlistat (the main ingredient in Alli). The side effects were -motions extremely loose, chances of accidents very high. Worried to be far from loo. Hope I havent offended anyone , but you did ask.

Didnt affect my weight either.

I took them as Xenical (the ingredient orlistat is the same) about 3 years ago. After a few weeks I wasn't losing much weight and had got symptoms making my tum feel really weird and shivery inside and I felt quite unwell.

I rang the helpline and asked them for advice and after answering some questions they advised me to stop taking them. The reason I was having problems was that I didn't eat ENOUGH fat for them to work!!! Even if I hadn't felt ill taking them there would have been no point getting used to eating more fat would there, just to put on more weight for the tablets to take off. So it was back to the hard way again for me.

Hi Shazzlou,
I have never taken Alli slimming pills.
My daughter takes good quality cider vinegar,
warm water and a little honey (to sweeten)
She said it helped her lose weight.

Has anyone on here ever taken the Alli slimming pill and does it work? I Saw it in boots yesterday and it is quite expensive and just wondered if it is worth the money?
