The law in Portugal is different to English law. It decided by the law who gets what %, so I hope he had an English will.

In my case my Mum and stepfather both left wills naming each other as beneficiaries. My mum died first and stepfather remarried. He has just died and although I have not investigated the legalities I gather my (and siblings from both sides of the family) chances of any inheritance are zilch!!

:-D I have no assetts, goldielocks - unless you count my many old books(which I shall soon be sellling) and one painting, perhaps worth £300 - if it was cleaned and the frame wasn't in such a bad condition - not bad for a jumble sale purchase of £2.50 though!!

My mum and her husband had made wills leaving everything to each other - unless they died within a month of each other - another reason my mum can't come back yet.
........then she just has to sell the house :-S

...anyone fancy a ( I have to admit) lovely villa in the Algarve?

I have a made a will and so has Itsmytelly, we do so when the children were young, money wise at the time we had nowt just a 25yr morgage, but the reason we made it is because if anything happen to me I wanted to know or should I say I wanted a say in who was going to bring up my children.
