We have four, two folding ones of mine and two large golfing type of ohs. I keep one in my shoulderbag but how I would use it if it rains I don't know, having to use two crutches.

One ( pale blue)that I haven't used yet has a torch in the handle. There is one in my handbag,( yellow spots on black, Marie Curie ) - only put there recently since I haven't been wearing any sort of coat.
There are at least 2 black and 2 navy umbrellas around.
2 huge dark green golfing style ones were given free at a Samaritans event in London some years ago, then there is the red and white MR 2 golf one around too.

There are probably a few more. Daughter has at least 2 here I think.

Not much point in having an umbrella if your shoes leak.

One in the car and one in the house and I think a broken one somewhere.

It would have to be raining cats and dogs before I would use one. Cant seemto keep the umbrella up and myself at the same time.

I have a lifelong loathing of umbrellas. Therefore I have several as family and friends think I don't have one so give them as birthday/christmas gifts :-( :-(

For goodness sake....how much is a brolly? I'd buy myself one if I wanted one - which I don't :-D

I do find something quite poignant about dead ones in bins and shop doorways after a downpour though :-D

None. I don't see the point in fighting to stop them blowing inside out.

With all those I have I have to admit to only probably using them very occasionally. Usually if caught out without a coat when travelling from town on the bus. Or just to get from car to door.

Having said that a couple of years ago in August (I think it was) there was a meet in Swansea and we were in a hotel at the top of the town, the the meet was down in the harbour.. Halfway down it started to bucket down and didn't stop all afternoon. Fortunately we happened to have two folding umbrellas with us because we had decided to walk down to the meet place otherwise we'd have been drenched.
