I am currently paying £16 per month for my broadband, with no frills. My telephone calls are straight b- landline as I had trouble switching back once before. |

I use BT just because the link doesn't drop. Unlimited usage, free landline calls 24/7 (up to an hour, then hang up and ring back). A second number over broadband (you do pay for outgoing). |

Talktalk - 24 hr broadband and free 24 hr calls in UK beginning 01 or 02. Knock off after 59 minutes and redial. About £23 per month and kept our original BT number. |

Kempina, is that using broadband from your mobile or the landline? I'm not very proficient on the mobile. |

I was paying £16 a month for bt broadband, so I rung up and said I was going to switch to sky as it was cheaper ( £7.50 per month for unlimited downloads ) Bt immediately offered to reduce my bill to £7.90 per month the lowest they could go. I accepted and told my friends who also had their bills reduced |

Further to my reply regarding getting Bt broadband costs reduced, My landline is with Bt but separate. When I rang and said I wanted my MAC number so I could go to Sky I was immediately put through to another department where a very nice young man asked why I wanted to leave. I said the cost was too high and I could get it free with my Sky t.v pack although I would want the downloads so would pay £7.50. He not only reduced my broadband to £7.90 a month he also reduced my phone rental by half. So I would advise everybody to try this, there was no hassle and they were only too happy to keep my account. Pleeease do not ask me what a MAC number is I don't know, a open reach van driver told me to ask for it. |
