The seven was supposedly David Beckham's number when he played for Man U. Maybe Hayley or BC or someone can confirm that.

Harper is the first name of the author who wrote 'To Kill a Mockingbird'

That's who our Harper was named for Cat.

It did cross my mind first thing this morning to try and change her name...but that's just daft...she's used to it..it suits her...and aside from the Beckham thing I still like it ! Could've been (marginally) worse...could've been an Ar**nal player that named his child Harper.

PLEASE Beckham if you can do ONE thing for me..don't transfer there after your time in the US.......*sobs*

Lol Muffy :-D

No reason to change her name and you can always tell people that the Beckhams obviously have good taste naming their child after your dog ;-)

Harper - one that plays the harp, a good old English name.

No 7 - David Beckham's number; the baby was born in the seventh month.

"David was one of a number of young boys showing huge potential at the time in the Man Utd youth division and the club manager Sir Alex Ferguson was a great believer in the system. This confidence prompted Ferguson to place some of the young rising stars into his first team selections. Beckham got his first chance in a League Cup game against Brighton and Hove Albion in 1992. He quickly impressed and his unbelievable accuracy with passing the ball made him a strong choice as first-team winger. He took Eric Cantona’s number 7 shirt made it his own."

"Harper has become an increasingly popular name in the US, where the family are now based. It was the 887th most popular for a girl in 2004 but rose to 119 last year."
