Dear All

Hello

The British weather lore proverb, which says that if it rains on Saint Swithun's day, 15 July, it will rain for 40 days.

"St Swithun's day if thou dost rain
For forty days it will remain
St Swithun's day if thou be fair
For forty days 'twill rain nae mare".

Or a variation on this from Buckinghamshire:

"If on St Swithun's day it really pours
You're better off to stay indoors".

How is the weather faring in your area?

Take gentle care all
Very best wishes
xx

We seem to have our own mini climate near here. Just a few miles away the weather can be quite different.
This morning the BBC live news team were at Sandwich, for the golf and it was raining.
This part of Kent , near Folkestone has been dry all day.
I think we are due sun tomorrow....or is that at Sandwich??

Well with a bit of luck.......

our forecast is ok for today I think but the weekend is supposed to be very wet.

O.h. is working on Saturday when his sis and bil are moving house but he has promised to go and help move some things on Sunday, won't they have fun?

I am staying out of it, there will be enough of them arguing over which way to push the sofas through the doors etc lol

A nice quiet day for me I hope

The sun is already very warm, the sky is blue, not a cloud in sight, so I think we are going to have a splendid day.

Dear All

Hello

Hope you are okay.

Thank you for the kind replies.

Here in the East End, it was pouring down!!
The sun peeked out for a short time, then poured down again.
