Marion, thats exactly what she did, she says she has tried heel grips. I did go to the cobblers this morning and he says he can put a piece of elastic or a leather strap and buckle on them (at a price) but the bad news is she wants them for her holiday next week and there is a 3 week backlog. Oh well at least she can get them done when she comes back.

A proper cobbler could probably do something Marilyn but they are few and far between I think. There is a chap in Norwich who is good, and the blokes on the market shoe repair stall are ok too

Insoles or heel grips might work.
Maybe she tried them on a hot day when feet were swollen.

Thanks for your ideas, I will ask her to try them, she hasnt had it confirmed Bridget but I have and her feet are the same as mine, so she is just assuming!

How about trying some black elastic hair bands or scrunchies that could go around the shoe under the arch of the heel and over her instep

Has you daughter confirmed that she does not have arches by her GP?
Has she tried insoles as they can help.

My daughter has recently bought a new pair of high heel shoes which fitted her perfect when she tried them on. They are just like a court shoe type (no straps) but she now walks out of them because, she says, she has no arches under her feet.

She is wanting me to try to have a strap put across the front in black leather, or similar (shoes are black) to hold them on and just wondered if anyone knows where I could get this done, shoe mender perhaps?? but dont they just do soles and heels?

Any help appreciated but I have told her that they could just be ruined if it doesnt work but she is happy with that.
