If it is a nest then vinegor is not going to solve the problem. You need, as Marilyn says, wasp nest killer.

Nudge for Running Bear.

Update. I used the vinegar and for one day I didn't have any wasps but they are still coming-j

Yes Joan some of mine have been really lethargic in particular the one that fell onto my computer keyboard. I'm not usually bothered about this sort of thing but they keep making me jump when they start buzzing again when I try to pick them up.-j

Thank you for your comforting words JC. Yes they do seem to gravitate to the light . My home is a chalet type bungalow and the bathroom is set in the roof with tiles around the outside so I guess they can get in anywhere.....looks like I had better start counting down from 400........lol.

I have done as you say Joyce and had to get the step ladders out as the window is high in the bathroom. Just found another dozen dead wasps.on the window sill...just shows how long it is since I climbed up- lol. The window cleaner has just arrived so it must be a month since I cleaned up there.
Unfortunately Kay I cannot get into some parts of the eaves because of the design of the house.
....just going to ask the window cleaner if he has seen anything............nope.
Hey ho....j

Kay????

Have a look in your false roof if you have one aswell as they keep the queen well hidden from the elements if they can,

Yes AnninGlos, they are somewhere in the area of the eaves as one dropped on my keyboard when I was on the computer in the bedroom but so far the rest have remained in the bathroom.

I will try the vinegar Joyce . Thanks -janet

There is a white powder (not sure of the name) that you put round the outside of the nest but you need to find where they are nesting. Probably under the eaves outside.

Don't know whether this will work with wasps but I wipe my windows, window frames and skirting boards with a mixture of vinegar and water and the flies 'don't like it up 'em' as they say in 'Dad's Army.'

I seem to have got some visiting wasps who appear in my bathroom overnight. There are only a couple but as fast as I remove them, they are usually on their last legs, a couple more come whizzing round. I have to check towels to make sure that they are not caught in them. I have tried to find out where they are coming from but everywhere appears to be sealed. Does anyone know of a deterrent other than wasp killer?-jl
