Every time I change boards or open a thread I have to scroll down a whole list of the search options available before I can read the thread.
Added a post about 20 minutes ago which has disappeared into the ether.
Another day, more problems.
Unless Genes gets this site sorted PDQ they are going to find members leaving in droves.
A few days of inconvenience is one thing. It´s now becoming weeks since it´s been possible to go onto the site without problems. :-( :-( :-( :-(

Having problems also, taking forever to load, "service unavailable" etc :-(

Couln´t log out last night.
Huge difficulty accessing the boards this morning.
Still having to scroll right to the bottom of the screen to see the threads & waiting ages for the text to appear.
Constant problems with the site getting on for 2 months now.
At least it´s a different problem every day, so not boring.

Why are some people getting problems but not others? I haven't had any issues at all for at least a month when I got the odd log-out and occasional unable to go to page message. Apart from that, I never had any problems with pages not loading or displaying.

What are the 'search options' you are talking about scrolling down?

Have you cleared out your browser recently? If you don't do this regularly (daily is best) then when GR update something on the site your browser may try to load the old version from its browsing history and you can get no end of problems as a result.

If I knew why I was having the problems, I might be able to do something about them.
My browser is cleared every day, I crap clean at least twice per week & de frag regularly.
Suddenly, yesterday morning a long list of search options appeared when I tried to open a board & now, every time I change boards or open a thread, I have to page through the list before I get to what I want.
When I eventually reach the page, there is a several second delay before the text appears.
I have been unable to log out for 2 days, but when I tried to look at my threads just now, I was instructed to log in.
If anyone knows what´s going on, I would be pleased to hear their theories, especially as I don´t appear to be the only member with the problem. Everything else on my PC is working normally. Just this site that´s a mess.

Can't help I'm afraid. I'm same as IGP, have had very few problems at all, and certainly nothing today.

The banner at the top of the home page where you select what you want to look at is missing.
Having worked out an alternative method for accessing the surname summary board, am now getting the error message.
Still can´t log out.

Worse today than yesterday.
Tried to get onto the site 4 times without success. In all, an hour & a half to get connected.
Then have to scroll down 60 items to view a board & the same every time I change a page.
6 attempts to access the Ancestors board & when it finally came up there was no text.
What a b****y nightmare.
Still at least I´m not getting the essential maintenance message. But then, it´s weekend.

What browser do you have? Firefox 5 and Internet Explorer 9 both seem to work ok.

Is all your other software up to date, such as Flash Player (Shockplayer for Firefox) and Java, for example?
