I bought a Candy washer/drier as my previous washing m/c was a Candy and was over 12 years old and still working when I gave it away - that is why I am so miffed. It would also drive you to drink trying to sort out which number you ring and then after banging in about 20 options you hear a voice!!!!

Whilst I think these stores are good when buying things, (Ive just treated myself to a teasm*de from them this morning,) I don 't think they geared to sort out problems after the sale. I do hope that you get someone local at the right price as a washer should last more than any 3 years before it breaks down.-jl

that well known store named after Mr Haley - just quoted me for a callout charge to a 3 yr old washing machine (still under parts only guarantee) £115.

Twelve months ago they wanted £45 to fit a new handle to freezer - (2 screws) - I said post it - OH as an engineer can manage that!

Will think very seriously before I purchase there again.

Am getting local man and see what overall cost will be - at least he is coming tomorrow morn and not anytime on Monday!
