I think it is supposed to be ethereal and appear to float. Without seeing it 'in the flesh' so to speak I can't really judge.

The outfit is stunning, no one disagrees with that and Kate looked radiant in it but the arrangement is weird to say the least.

After all those years of being married to the Duke the Queen seems not one to keep her thoughts to herself :-D

It is a beautiful dress and Kate looked stunning in it, but does look a little odd, like those headless displays in a certain high street clothing shop which hang from chains in the window.

You could put that dress in a heap on the floor and it would still look stunning.

I think it looks very elegant as it is, almost ethereal.

Rita - it is supposed to be a 3-D effect and the curators were upset that H.M. said it was 'horrible'. Like you - I think it has 'off with her head'.

Kate's wedding dress does not, to my mind (and our gracious Queen's) display as it should.

I think it would have been so much better on a full manequin.
