You want to actually locate her, or find out about her ( or her family history)?

Hi Rebecca

If you are trying to locate a living person you'll have more luck on the 'find living relatives' board or if deceased try 'Find Ancestors' board.
I can't believe 42 other members didn't think of that :-(

Good luck :-D

Search the ER rolls (if she hasn't opted out of the commercial register ) on

http://www.192.com/
https://www.livingrelativesearch.co.uk/

Both the above are pay to view, but you may get a partial postcode to narrow things down.

Under her husband's initial, if he is still living, see if their phone number and address are listed here

http://www.thephonebook.bt.com/publisha.content/en/search/residential/search.publisha

You can work out possible children's' names by searching the birth index on here or http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ (up to c1980) by putting in the father's surname and the mother's maiden name as well as a year range.

If this general query relates to a birth parent or other v close birth relative, it is a v good idea to read the guidance given on Living Relatives
