Hi, I am posting this message on behalf of my friend who would like to know how to find electoral rolls in ireland? She has the name of a person that she would like to connect with and knows she is in Ireland - no idea what part though but believes it to be southern. She knows that the lives there and has a telephone and would like to write to her... is there any way of finding electoral roll info for ireland on the internet? or is there a researcher willing to look up e-rolls on her behalf?
thanks
Netty

Before you go down the ER route, have you tried looking at the on-line phone directories?

The above came up in an internet search - there may be more.

If Eire is anything like the UK, ER's are only search-able by address. There is this answer from a post 4 years ago.

>>You can do a search via www.192.com but be warned it is VERY expensive, the free option is to go the main library in that city/town and they will allow you to search for the address you require, but I think its still only the one address search. Hope this helps.<<

Another similar question has this 'searchable' link as an answer.

If your friend knows the phone number, it might be worth checking the area code to try and narrow down the area.

On the off chance it is in N ireland, check here for dialling codes
