Alyson,

With the marriage in 1899 there is time for some children to be born before Lilian in 1905.

Have you looked for births and deaths in the area on FreeBMD?

I wonder if any one can help me,I am researching my family tree Brittains and Mattocks. My ggrandparents names were Frederick Charles Brittain(1870) and Elizabeth Eliza Brittian(1871)(nee Mattock)I they were married 19th August 1899 at St marys,Balham,I was told that they had three girls Lilian born 1905,Winifred 1907 and my grandmother Gladys eveline born 1910,I have found details of all three.I have just looked at the 1911 census where they are all listed at laitwood road,Balham and one of the questions was how many children were born and living and it states 5? Could this be a mistake??My ggrandmother died in 1915 of tuberculosis,I cannot find any death cert for my ggrandfather Frederick charles brittain,I know he was in the army and he contracted Tuberculosis abroad and was pension out of the army.I would be grateful for any help that anyone can give me :-D
