Apologies in advance to non-meat eaters, but going for something different this year - a haunch of Wild Boar, and same of red-nose venison :-D :-D

Well Mr Daff, since I will be spending my Christmas with my pagan family in IRELAND :-D it will probably be suckling pig and magic mushrooms ;-) <3

That sounds lovely Mr D, I will be down at daughter's so it will probably be the usual fresh turkey from their excellent butcher. But that is fine by me as I won't be cooking it :-D

We are having a turkey crown from the local butcher ........cooked in our lovely new kitchen *points proudly*...........in the new double oven that I seem to get along with fairly well so far!! :-)

Chrismas Eve - home cooked gammon with all the little cloves in a fancy pattern. Always had goose up to last year when we went for duck and by unaminous vote - duck this year.

The price of goose is disgusting this year - why the leap in price? Mind you they only lay once a year so perhaps something to do with cold wet weather.
