Thanks, John :-)

No ipad though.

my children got me a jar of nothing (literally)

Both are in their 30's, and they gave my OH a laptop for Christmas (she deseves it :-D)

Think doctor meant 5 miles in a circle, not in a straight line. Have notified the authorities - elderly man, jogging with iPad, lost in bush for 14 days ;-).

Quietest Christmas I can remember, Allan. Problem with having children about 30 and no grandchildren yet. My son's eyes used to light up with the sight of a cardboard box not so many years ago. Now, even the Bugatti Veyron car we bought him fails to excite. All he could think about was where he could park it to keep it secure. :-D ;-)

Wishing you and yours a great 2013. Blwyddyn newydd dda - happy NY.

John,

I was advised by my doctor to run five miles each day.

I'm now a good 70 miles from home, and still running :-0

I hope that you and your family had a good Christmas and are looking forward to a Happy New Year :-)

So did you manage to catch up with your nose John, or did it escape? :-D :-D

Guess where I went late last night? Wagamama in Cardiff Bay. And had a Firecracker.

It was exactly as I remembered it. I never react to curries - even Vindaloos and Phals. But at the third mouthful I started hiccuping (exactly like last time in late summer). And then nose started running steadily.

But, unlike curry, bowels have been ok today :-D :-D :-D

The tree fought back :-|

I have a gash on either side of my forehead resulting form me walking into some projecting remnants from our last pruning of the tree.

My wife says that I look like a devil who has had his horns taken off :-0

Shame really as this morning I have to go to a local primary school to present two scholarship awards to students who will be starting at high school next year.

Hopefully, I will scare the proverbial out of them :-D

I'm now off to do something extremely controversial with my wife...

Help her prune our lemon tree!

Will chat later if the thread still exists :-D

I suspect that if the RR'r is in the UK, they've gone to sleep it off.

It can be the oly explanation for the reporting of some of the posts, on various threads, over the last couple of days.

I enjoy a drink but if i've over indulged I just fall asleep, usually where I'm sat

:-D

Thermos flask is a trade name too, isn't it?

But then, it's also another general name for a vacuum flask.
I mean, you wouldn't say you were going to a 'major high street chemists' to buy one of their own brand vacuum flasks, you'd say you were going to buy one of their own brand thermos flasks.
