Little cottage outside a small village in Wales where the countryside was our playground......lots of woods caves and fields etc.

The cottage cost my mum & dad £650.00 and sold some years ago for £190.000!

"Poor old MrD" - whyever, John? Other than it may be a reference to the frequent packing and moving ?

Mind you, I would also advise caution as indicated by Lynda, too much information can be ... detrimental (?).

GinK <3 If you have one pointing towards the sea from the pub, on sse bearing, love it !!! I have nothing from that period (couldn't afford a camera in those days ! lol !!!) HNY too :-D

I had someone phone me just before Christmas, at 8pm, asking me about my neighbours!!

They gave names, I said 'No, don't know them' (which I would have said even if I had recognised the names), and suggested they'd been given a false address, and if they were a legitimate firm, could use the internet (192.com) - which I didn't tell them :-S

MrD I think where you were born and houses that were your favourite house many years ago are ok. I try to be a bit more careful about recent stuff - but if someone wants to, they can find out a lot of details about you.

Look at Heirhunters. Look at the newspapers. And some on chat would rather dig details out about fellow Genes posters than do their own tree. And we give out so many details - driving license, car insurance, old age pension, benefits records - that future generations will have no problems whatsoever working out how many moles we have on our backs.

I think it is a shame when we are sharing fun stuff like this that some posters are really frightened to join in :-(

Bored rigid probably John, like I am.

Btw - your ghastly avatar looks nothing like you :-D

Apologies to Mr. Daff for going off-topic for a minute ;-)

gawd.

Some years ago I started making a list of the addresses I'd lived at.

I filled three pages!

Wend :-D :-D Avatar looks a lot prettier than I actually look. I will seek out a photo of the butcher Fred from Corrie and put that up instead.

No photos exist of me, as no camera is capable of capturing my likeness.
