Been talking about him all day with friends and OH's fellow runners.

What gets to me is the millions of $ spent on the development of his blades, those technicians, consultants and craftsmen must be sick as hell.

The legal cases re the legalities of the blades and possible advantages over able bodied athletes with calf muscles, the months and months of discussions with athletic bodies and now all wasted.

A privileged life thrown away and an innocent life taken with all the repercussions for the victim's family and friends.

It seems that he has admitted shooting Reeva. However, until the trial is over I don't know if he is guilty of murder.

I hope that justice is done.

My thoughts go out to Reeva's family and friends.

The fact that he could compete in both able bodied and paralympics did not enamour me to either him or the organising committee.
How come?

The media cannot make up its mind whether there were 3 shots then a further 3 or just four shots, I would think that 1 shot could be considered accidental, more than that (Unless its a Minimi) is in my opinion Murder.**M**.

In court its reported that,,,when put,as premeditated murder ,Oscar has *denied this in the most *strongest terms*.i supose it boils down to evidence that outcome if he is responsible.,what ruined lives of the poor victim and the accused.

I think,,,,the blades and all that has gone into the development wont be wasted and opens up doors for any aspirting athlete of the future,

According to the Brigadier of the SA Police there was arguing before the shots and there were 4 shots.
1 to the head and 3 in the torso.

Now if that isn't premediated murder I don't know what is.

I hope he gets life if found guilty and he dies in prison and no comforts for him.

My thoughts go to Reeva's family and friends.

Seems like the poor woman was shot through a door, according to some reports. Maybe he'll say he didn't think the bullets would penetrate.

So very sad for that woman and her family.

I caught part of a radio interview with a young child who had a poster of Pistorius on his bedroom wall as he was his hero. I'm not sure if the child was disabled or not, OH has the feeling he was.

The child was so upset that his hero had done this. It wasn't nice to listen to. Poor kid.

Shooting stars or falling stars - we seem to hear disturbing news by the day.

Drug taking cyclists.
Match fixing snooker.
Race horse doping.
Rugby stamping.

"Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket". (Perry Como).

Previous calls to the property for Domestic Violence.

Lets hope Reeva's family will see justice done.

South African Police are open to bribes, be interesting to see the outcome.

I'm reserving judgement at the moment or at least I'm trying to. What I've read so far doesn't put him in a good light.

Brian why shouldn't he compete in both? Being disabled means he's eligible to take part in the paralympics, assuming he makes the grade of course. If he qualifies for the olympics then I don't see why he shouldn't compete in those either. The chances of him competing in either from now on is probably negligible anyway.

I agree CAT - it doesn't look good but it's difficult to make a judgement at the moment.

Total tragedy for all concerned :-(
