I also went out with a boy born the same day as me and were in the same hospital room.
Very good looking tall dark handsome boy , but no other 'connection' than above ! Just a few dates !

Already had found my one !...just had to wait yr or so :-)

Don't know what became of my first love, but we got back together quite a few times until he married in 1972.
I'm afraid we were naughty enough to have a last fling the night before he married. Sorry to his bride, hope it worked out OK! ;-)

Made me laugh Carol........our eyes met and we had a hug and kiss. OH was standing right next to us as the Ex had just delivered his new van!

Love is all around so it seems....some lovely stories. Well I have the little Darlinks today.....in about 5mins....they are staying overnight so will not get a look in on the ipad.....have a lovely day everyone!

Not my first love, he died of cancer a few years back, but I did meet up with an old flame on Thursday at the funeral of an elderly ex neighbour of mine. I had forgotten that the man in question is married to a friend of my old neighbour's daughter. I was shocked and saddened to see him looking very ill, he told me he has cancer of the voice box, the second bout of cancer and it's taking it's toll of him. His fabulous good looks have gone, his voice isn't strong, he is gaunt and thin but the smile is still the same and we spent a lovely half hour reminiscing about old times and other people we knew. We first met when we were 17 and had a brief fling when we were in our 20's. We've bumped into one another on the odd occasion since but I hadn't seen him for several years so was very upset to see him suffering.

FA. Think you have put me out of my misery. Have had that song running through my head "not on the inside, mainly the eyes" all yesterday and hoped somebody had posted when I got in late last night

It was the Beautiful South's record "Perfect 10" and the chorus that went:

It was the twinkling eyes in an early post on this thread that made me think of that record

Mine left me at 17 and moved to Canada - hes still there aint seen him since, but he never married. I thought I'd done summut wrong but his parents took him cos they didnt want to leave him behind. Speak to him on friends reunited x

My first real love and I will celebrate our 28th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow.
He has booked us tickets for Les Mis ( film version) and a table for dinner.

No longer my 'love' - just a very good pal.

He suffers from the grass always being greener on the other side, and is having a bit of a hard time at the moment from me and our (now grown up) children, because the wally's eyes are wandering again, and his most recent partner is lovely. :-|
