Oh no OFITG - the 'abyss' was that tiny moment when we had industries, the working class had fought for a living wage - and got it. It didn't last long, but it must have been bloody difficult for him & his ilk to get decent servants!!

terryj, David Cameron also said yesterday, that changing course on the economy would plunge the UK "back into the abyss."

Well I must have had a senior moment as I thought we were still in "the abyss"

She's back. She's not been heard of since the 1980s. She's been brought out of retirement by David Cameron. She is TINA (There Is No Alternative) the phrase associated with Mrs Thatcher in the 1980s.

I wonder if what David Cameron really meant by "TINA" is, "There Is No Alternative" to ensuring the rich get richer and the poor get poorer :-|

Having read the speech David Cameron's made yesterday, I honestly believe this man, along with his part time Chancellor, and his puppet Nick Clegg, have no idea of what they are doing to this country. They do not seem to be able to distinguish the difference between what is best for the country as a whole from what is best for their rich friends in the city :-(

Well Mr Cameron I have an alternative for you, act like a Statesman, seek an audience with the Queen, jump in your limousine, get down to the Palace, and tender your governments resignation, and don't forget to order the removal van :-D
