Thank you all for your kind comments. George would have appreciated, it he used to sit outside the front gate, I think it was because he just loved attention from passers by. :-D

What a friendly lot - This thread is so interesting - have noticed that suddenly the many regulars in General chat now have an image - certainly lightens the mood when reading.
Would like to suggest that we encourage some of the regulars in other forums like Geneolgy chat - any takers

Edit: Sorry I forgot to mention George......

Thanks for that John. I dont know what you were doing out of bed at 3.07, but I was getting ready to come home from my stint in the Hospice Shop (4.07pm, or 16.07). I work there on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, for 3 and a half hours, although I usually get there early and start a little early too.

BTW, I wasnt really fishing for a compliment, I was just joking! I can be as peculiar as other people. Nowt so queer as folks, and all that sort of thing.

John, do I always make you smile because I am funny-peculiar, or because I am funny-haha?

Oh, Mayfield, that is so sad yet so lovely. He looks a fine and characterful cat.

Thought I would let my dear old George join the gallery, sorry to say he took his last trip to the vets a couple of weeks ago.
After a bit of searching we have found him a rose to mark his spot called "Our George"
