A good free imaging package is Gimp - takes a little bit of learning but you can do a lot with it.

Have you had problems with gmail? I find it to be very robust and better than most out there.
What problems are you having with Win7?

Good thinking, Errol. Thanks.

However, recently with W7 and Gmail often doing its own thing, I'm not having the smoothest of rides!

So many damn W updates etc. I'm fed up with it.

I have a lovely photo software I much prefer - forget name! - but was not compatible with XP onward. Frustrating indeed!

If all else fails use the Basil Fawlty technique, pull a branch of a tree and give it a damn good thrashing :-|

Barry it may be an issue the other way round - check that your version of Arcsoft is the latest and that it is compatible with Win7

Mark - it may also be worth giving it a try via usb connection rather than wifi

W:indows 7 is a real pain in the you know where - at least for me!
It keeps crashing my photo Arcsoft software!

I suggest you clear your computer's cache - which it might do automatically when you shutdown - I do this with ccleaner continually.

Switch OFF your computer and printer. You have cleared your print queue, you said, if not best to do so, too!

Leave both of them for a couple of minute and reboot.
Hopefully W7 will have sorted itself - until next time!

Good luck! Your mission, etc.....

Friend of mine had no end of trouble with one of these, in the end we downloaded HP print and scan doctor which sorted it You have to plough through lots of pages to find it on their site, I had a look and here is a link if it helps.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=uk&lc=en&jumpid=ex_r4155/hho/ipg/ccdoc/printer_diag/&softwareitem=mp-114642-1

If you don't like clicking on links (and I don't blame you if you feel uneasy about them) go to www.hp.com and follow the troubleshooting.
Support>support and troubleshooting. then enter HP DESKJET 3050A (if it askes stay on the same site) click solve a problem, click print problem, click try print and scan doctor, scroll down to link to tool. and you should end up at the link I gave!

Download and run the tool make a cup of tea and sit with your fingers crossed till it sorts it out!

Regards,
Mayfield.
you should get there in the end! :-D

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 12 May 2013 16:07

ok now you have cleared the queue give it one more try before we look at other options - if it doesn't print you will need to clear the queue again
