My dog can tell the time, at 4.00pm every day he brings his ball, he knows it's playtime. If have something to finish first and I say soon, he will wait next to me, if I say later, he will go away and come back later. |

Harper barks like crazy at anyone at the door Mersey...I can't seem to stop her either ..oddly though she knows instinctively if it's my mum and dad or my friends...and just meanders up to them for a fuss.....how she can tell the difference between one car door closing and another I have no idea ! |

I don't have a dog now but the dogs next door are a nightmare, they bark at anything and everything through the night and the day. The owner sometimes stays away at his girlfriend's but even when there he ignores their barking. They spend a lot of time alone, as he works. Everyone around here is fed up with the disturbance. I am usually up during the night and used to look out if they barked thinking someone or something was about but the security lights were not on (motion sensor ones) so heaven knows what they bark at. |

Jay Boy our rescue springer was ill treated and chained in a yard for over two years. Sooo when we got him I gave him a bed at the side of mine so if he needed to go out I would wake and let him in the garden,(better that than to get him used to peeing downstairs on mi carpets). The first 5 weeks were horrendous every 3 hrs but now he sleeps until 5.50 am 10 mins before my alarm goes off and we have never had any accidents. He woke me by puffing with his awful breath in my face. Hope to cure this with a trip to the dentist next week. ;-) |

Well to be honest, I could be wrong about him waking (me or OH) having given some thought to the situation OH's side of the bed is nearest the door :-0 so it may be that she has him better trained than I thought :-| |
