Everybody would have the"arnamick" hanging on a piece of string by a hole made in it's corner,next to the fire to be consulted for important information like the dates of fairs.Wheat all had to be in by Sloe Fair and some things,I can't remember what,had to be planted by the shortest day,broad beans maybe. |
